Your MPR - Basic package will include:
Custom Training Plan
MPR will work with the runner to gain a thorough understanding of their background in running, current situation, strengths, weaknesses and goals. Based on this information MPR will design a custom training program for the runner. This training program will include running workouts, strength workouts and warm-up & cool-down routines, with all the details you’ll need to get the most out of the program.
Complete Race Plan
Based on your goal race, training program, strengths, weaknesses, weather and course conditions; MPR will design for you a complete race plan that includes breaking the course into segments, pacing guidelines for each segment and fueling strategy (eating and drinking), as well as mental tips for successful racing.
Refreshes
Refreshes update your custom training program for how your training has progressed, any advancements or set-backs you have had, or for any unforeseen changes in life or schedule.
Runner's Nutritional Guide
MPR will provide all its clients with a Runner’s Nutrition Guide that cover the basics for ensuring proper nutrition while training for land racing longer distance races. MPR has several professional sports nutritionists they can refer clients to if further support in this area is desired.
How It All Works:
1) Decide how long of a training plan you are looking for. We do have an 8 week minimum requirement and a maximum of 24 weeks on any one training cycle. Allow a full week (5-7 days) between when you sign-up and when you'll receive your custom program. Then just click on the appropriate link above to pay for the number of weeks you have choosen.
2) Runner Questionnaire – once you have signed up we’ll send you a runner's questionnaire to fill out and return so that we can learn about you, your running background, and where you are headed. All the things we’ll need to design a program that is just right for you. The more information you provide the better we can customize your program to fit your specific strengths, weaknesses and needs. Then we'll follow-up with you if we have any additional questions or need any more information.
3) Program Design – Taking all the information gathered from your questionnaire and responses, we’ll start designing your program. Within a few days you’ll have your completed program and be ready to get started.
4) Review – Once you have received your program review it and make sure you understand everything. Then if you have any questions or need any changes made, let us know and we’ll discuss and adjust it accordingly.
5) Execute – Armed with your custom training program you start to execute on your training. Included in your package will be a training log for you to fill-out as you go along, then when/if you need a refresh along the way you can send in your training log along with any notes and we’ll review and adjust your program as needed for your progress.
